If you’ve been following my blog and my social media feeds for a while, you already know I am a huge fan of Neal’s Yard Remedies. Originating from Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden London, this organic skincare brand has been around for over three decades. Love their holistic approach to beauty and their entire library of pure essential oils.

One essential oil that features quite prominently in the Neal’s Yard Remedies range is frankincense. Love the Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Hydrating Facial Mist and would highly recommend their Rejuvenating Frankincense Eye & Lip Serum

And a few weeks back, I was sent the newest addition to the frankincense family, the Neal’s Yard Remedies Intense Lift Cream

For the past month, my early morning breakfast ritual has had a wee beauty tweak. I start my mornings unscrewing a tiny gold-topped bottle, and sip down its contents daintily. It tastes tangy, sweet and peachy all at once.

This wee drink is not your regular health tonic, but promises be the next generation in skincare. The key ingredient is collagen, the building block for youthful skin, hair and nails. Many expensive creams and potions claim the benefits of collagen, but ingesting it into the system is believed to deliver faster, more permanent results.

If you are well and truly serious about skincare, you already know the importance of serums. Using a serum as a part of your regular skincare regime becomes all the more important as we age.

Unlike regular moisturizers that sit on the surface of the skin, serums are lightweight enough to penetrate deeper down to deliver active ingredients.

For the past year I’ve been ignoring serums due to my obsession with facial oils (my current favorite is Rose Hip Oil). However, legendary beauty brand Avon has combined both into one powerfully clever, award-winning product. I’m talking about the Avon Ultimate Supreme Dual Elixir.

Last Thursday, right after an entire work week that felt like forever, I headed off to Conrad Dubai to try out the much-coveted Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Facial.

I usually take good care of my skin, but the past week has been wearing me down (think extra cups of coffee, under 5 hours of sleep and not drinking enough water). The lackluster reflected on my face, and I was relying on this session to make me look and feel more ‘alive’ for the impending weekend.

There are many under-eye products out there, most claiming to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. However, it has been pretty challenging to find an under-eye treatment that is designed to combat dark circles.

When I heard of Kiehl’s Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate, I knew I had to try it. I am a huge fan of Kiehl’s and their breakthrough skincare lines, and given the number of late nights I’ve been having these past few weeks, I thought it would be the perfect time to put this product up for trial.

I’ve been doing a number of late-nighters in the past couple of weeks. Not that I’m complaining; the month of Ramadan has brought with it a string of social invites, and although these have been a wonderful change from the usual routine, the impact of less sleep has been taking a toll on my eyes.

Sunken, sleep-deprived eyes with droopy lids are never in vogue, and despite my best efforts, squeezing in more shut-eye hours has been challenging.

And then I got introduced to yet another lovely product from the Kiehl’s range: the Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye–Opening Serum.

What is the one thing you’d take with you if you were stranded on an island? For me, it would be a gallon (or more!) of organic, virgin coconut oil.

In Sanskrit, the coconut palm is called ‘kalpa vriksha’ meaning ‘the tree that supplies all that is needed to survive’.

Ancient wisdom has been passed down generations, and modern science is finally waking up to the plethora of health-inducing benefits this humble multi-purpose oil provides.

As beauty buffs, we spend a fortune on facial products. We also splurge on an ever-growing market for body-care, but tend to neglect the delicate area connecting the two; the neck and décolletage.

For those of you not familiar with the term décolletage, this refers to the area of skin exposed above a low-cut neckline. It comprises of the neck, shoulders, back and upper chest.

Beauty hoarders need no introduction to Dr. Murad. A board-certified dermatologist from the States, Dr. Murad has been formulating cutting-edge technology for skincare for the past 30 years, and has made various appearances on television. The age-old quest for a flawless complexion has a savoir; Dr. Murad has beautiful skin down to a science.

I have been trying out a few products from the Murad range, and today I am going to share my review on the Murad Perfecting Serum with you.
