Last Friday, we tried out the award-winning London Social brunch at Caravan restaurant, located on the ground floor of glitzy Ritz Carlton at JBR Dubai.

Looking for a cozy lunch spot? Have I got a bargain deal for you! Enjoy the enchanted interiors of Indian fine-dining restaurant Bombay Bungalow, and treat yourself to a set lunch menu for as low as AED 79 per head! Your lunching companions will thank you for it.
We are under a month away from Christmas! Where has the year gone? The 3 week school break will be here before we know it, and I have been pretty slack with planning out my holiday plans. Are you off to someplace exotic? I am in dire need of a holiday, and envy the social feeds of frequent flyers.
But living in Dubai has its major perks, especially for the foodie in me. My tastebuds took a world tour at the newly launched Pergolas 7 Fusion Brunch with a gastronomic spread paying ode to all the major cuisines around the globe.
Located in the palatial settings of Roda Al Murooj with an open patio looking out to the stunning pool facade, this is the perfect idle brunch that even the most discerning of guests will appreciate being invited to.
Last Friday I had the pleasure of being one of the first diners in Dubai to try out the Playhouse Brunch in Liwan restaurant at the newly opened 5-star property Swissotel (which has opened in Al Ghurair Dubai earlier this year).
As a mummy, I love restaurants that go the extra mile to keep little diners happy. A happy child means happy parents, and a genuinely chilled out brunch. There are quite a few brunches across the city that cater to this need with a dedicated kids play area, etc but none of the ones I’ve been to come even close to all the fun and games that’s to be had at the Play House Brunch!
Friday brunches have become a bit of a Dubai institution. The list of great brunch spots around the city is endless; but if you are looking for an absolutely palatial setting, complete with views of the iconic Burj Khalifa and an endless pour-down of fine beverages, the 1001 Flavours Brunch at Ewaan, Palace Downtown is one to consider.
Just driving into Palace Downtown is a visual treat with its rows of palm trees and the much Instagrammed water feature at the front courtyard. Ewaan restaurant is located on the lower ground level, and the expansive interiors are tastefully decorated with Arabesque accents and floor to ceiling glass windows that take full advantage of the in-flood of natural light and the stunning views of the pool and Burj Khalifa.
I was brunching with two of my favorite girls, so ofcourse we got click-happy!
Located on the ground floor of picturesque Ajman Hotel, award-winning fine-dining Indian restaurant Bukhara is one of my favorite spots for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine sans all the modern-day gimmicks many other places tend to adopt these days.
Haven’t been to Bukhara yet? I have some great news for you… Bukhara has introduced a limited edition Summer Brunch that runs every Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm. The menu changes every week, and features many menu favorites for as low as AED 150 per head.
Last Saturday, I was invited to try out the Infinity Brunch at The Address, Dubai Marina. Always on the run and all over the place, I graciously accepted without really doing a background check. I assumed that as it’s at The Address Marina, I could go all out ladylike in my new Vero Moda lacy black number, and top it off with shit-loads of bronzer.
And there I was, high-heeled and astute, till we got ushered into Shades, the restaurant where the Infinity Brunch takes place every Saturday from 2 pm onwards. Shades is a poolside restaurant. The place was flooded with sun worshipers in scantily-clad swimwear, and there I was all dressed up and made up.
Named after one of my favorite Mediterranean salads, Tabule, the tangy, fresh parsley medley that often appears as a cold mezze at the start of an Arabic feast, is an authentic Lebanese restaurant set in the picturesque landscape of Roda Al Murooj.
We were there last Saturday to try out their BBQ Brunch, which proved to be both a visual and gastronomical treat. The lush greenery and astute architecture beguiles the mind into thinking you are dining in an exotic location, far, far away from the urban jungle of Dubai.
Kempinski Ajman has to be one of my favorite hotel properties in the UAE. The ambiance here exudes an old-world charm with hauntingly beautiful deep woods, classic lounge areas and a very scenic sandy private beach.
Given the temperatures are finally cooling down, Kempinski Ajman’s Friday Garden Brunch is now up and running in full swing. We were here a year ago, and were more than happy to revisit last Friday.
Last Friday we were invited to the Best Dressed Brunch at Great British Restaurant. Located in Duke’s on the Palm, one of Dubai’s newest five-star hotel properties that was inaugurated in March this year, the very synonyms ‘best dressed’ and ‘British’ had me stressing over what I was going to wear!
Friday brunches are usually laid-back and casual, and post work-week, I like to sleep in and keep my brunch look as simple as possible. Not so for this one! The Best Dressed Brunch gives you an excuse to pull out that sparkly number you’d usually reserve for a special night out. And the best part of all is that they even choose a ‘best dressed’ diner who walks away with a night’s stay at this much coveted property! So here I am, all glammed up in my Debenham’s number with bright red Mac Ruby Woo lips to boot!
