Cafe Isan: Authentic Isan Thai Cuisine at JLT, Dubai

When asked what my favorite kind of cuisine is, Thai always tops the list. I love the delicate medley of exotic spices and the fiery heat of Thai chilies. Even at home, we eat predominantly Thai inspired dishes.

So imagine my excitement when I got invited to yet another Thai gem last week! Inaugurated earlier this year, Cafe Isan is tucked away in a quiet corner of JLT (Lakefront Icon 1 Building, Cluster M) right next to Chawlas 2. We have quite a few restaurants in the UAE that specialize in Thai cuisine, but what sets this newbie apart is that their recipes originate from the Isan region of Thailand.

Numaish Festive Fair: Suchita’s Stylista

Numaish Exhibitions is back once again with a brand new lineup of exquisite new-season trends from India’s the hottest upcoming designers. I have been associated with the Numaish fair for 3 seasons now, and being a huge fan of boho and Indo-Western silhouettes, I always look forward to visiting the stalls. At Numaish, you are sure to find something extraordinarily different.

One of the designers who has been a regular at Numaish ever since I got associated with it is Suchita Pandey. Hailing from Jaipur, arguably the cultural capital of Indian textiles, Suchita turned her love for fashion into a very successful career with the launch of her label Suchita’s Stylista.

Sous Chef Larissa Mazzoli: Churrascaria Queen, and merely 24

I met the absolutely adorable, bubbly Chef Larissa Mazzoli a few months ago when I had my first taste of Chamas Churrascaria and Bar. Merely 24 of age, Larissa is a true connoisseur of her native Brazilian cuisine, and I was overly impressed with how passionately she talks about the churrascaria (a South American style of grilling meat over fire).
