Picture25The Numaish Festive Fair is taking place from Fri 28 – Sat 29 Sept at the Godolphin Ballroom in Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

As always, Numaish has curated an enticing lineup of the latest in Indian designer wear, and one of my favorite labels showcasing this month is Anavila.

‘Anavila’ translates to ‘pure’ in the ancient Indian tongue of Sanskrit, and is also the name of the founder of this beautiful fashion label.

Singaporean cuisine is beautifully complex. It is rather unique from general ‘Asian’ food in that their flavors and spice mixes are inspired from the conglomerative cultures of the country; namely Malay, South Asian, East Asian and Eurasian.

Despite the endless number of foodie options in the city of Dubai, we’ve been pretty restricted when it comes to Singaporean dining options. Sure a chili crab may feature in a menu or two, but what if you wanted an entire Singaporean experience?

Great news! Iconic Singaporean restaurant Kim’s has opened doors in picturesque Al Seef Dubai.

My Insta feed is taking on a beautifully bright hue of yellow thanks to my brand new outfit by AM:PM.

The celebrity-loved Indian fashion brand by husband-wife duo Ankur and Priyanka Modi will be showcasing two never seen before collections entitled ‘Gypset’ and ‘Qalb’ this Friday and Saturday at Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road from 11 am to 8 pm.

Craving a hearty Indian lunch, and not quite sure what to order? The quintessential Indian thali is always a good idea. A ‘thali’ comprises of a number of sampler curries, rice and flat-breads, and if you’re lucky, you get  sweet treat at the end as well.

Bargain alert! Fine-dining Indian restaurant Antique Bazaar (located on the Mezzanine floor of the ever-popular 4 Points by Sheraton in the heart of bustling Bur Dubai), is offering a thali lunch for as low as AED 31 per person.

In the short time since its opening, Wok Boyz has become an iconic corner in the foodie hub of Sheikh Zayed Road, and this claim to fame is mainly owing to the larger than life graffiti wall that adorns its front facade.

The colorful work of art has been touted to be the most Instagrammable wall in Dubai; quite a feat for a completely home-grown newbie concept in a market that is saturated with the world’s best.

What’s not to love about subscription boxes? They are the ‘from me, to me’ gift we all deserve… with an element of surprise thrown in.

Dubai beauty buffs are spoilt for choice with so many monthly subscription boxes in the market that are dedicated to makeup, skincare and general wellness. If you are looking for a makeup option, Doll Me Up is a great choice as this monthly box only caters to high-end luxury brands at very affordable rates.

Unboxing a Doll Me Up box is a treat in itself. Each box comes with 5 different products from different brands. Here’s a look at what I found in mine this month:

Friday brunches have become a bit of a Dubai institution. The list of great brunch spots around the city is endless; but if you are looking for an absolutely palatial setting, complete with views of the iconic Burj Khalifa and an endless pour-down of fine beverages, the 1001 Flavours Brunch at Ewaan, Palace Downtown is one to consider.

Just driving into Palace Downtown is a visual treat with its rows of palm trees and the much Instagrammed water feature at the front courtyard. Ewaan restaurant is located on the lower ground level, and the expansive interiors are tastefully decorated with Arabesque accents and floor to ceiling glass windows that take full advantage of the in-flood of natural light and the stunning views of the pool and Burj Khalifa.

I was brunching with two of my favorite girls, so ofcourse we got click-happy!

When legendary Chef Satish Arora was advised that 13th July marks ‘World Kebab Day’, he was ready with an enticing new menu from pre-starters to dessert in under 24 hours. Mahec by Satish Arora, located in the gastronomic hub of Le Meridien Village (Airport Road Dubai) is hosting a Kebab Festival from 12th to 27th July, 7pm to 11 pm daily.

The special menu features a total of 11 brand new kebabs, not to mention an entire array of starters and dessert.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mahec last night, and had the honor of meeting Chef Satish Arora in person once again. How did he manage to come up with an entire menu in a day? Humble as he is talented, he tells us that over 50 years in the business makes it come naturally to him.

Did you know that extra virgin coconut oil is the only oil on the planet that has been proven to have the ability to permeate into the shaft of human hair and thereby enhance its overall quality? This claim has been backed by clinical research in Princeton University, yet this beauty secret has been passed down for generations from mother to daughter in southern India.

Pure, unadulterated coconut oil has been the base of many Ayurvedic beauty secrets, and premium Korean beauty brand StarSkin has harnessed the power of coconut oil and time-tested Ayurvedic herbology to create a brand-new hair mask, complete with a blend of four other Ayurvedic superfoods.

This super sweet and satisfyingly refreshing combination of flavors is just the kick-start I need for a busy, sunny day of work.

I hope you love this smoothie as much as I do. For starters, its super quick and easy to do (under 5 minutes… time me!), is totally vegan, gluten-free and packed with all-natural goodness.
