Doll Me Up Box: The Monthly Luxury Beauty Subscription Box

What’s not to love about subscription boxes? They are the ‘from me, to me’ gift we all deserve… with an element of surprise thrown in.

Dubai beauty buffs are spoilt for choice with so many monthly subscription boxes in the market that are dedicated to makeup, skincare and general wellness. If you are looking for a makeup option, Doll Me Up is a great choice as this monthly box only caters to high-end luxury brands at very affordable rates.

Unboxing a Doll Me Up box is a treat in itself. Each box comes with 5 different products from different brands. Here’s a look at what I found in mine this month:

Lancome Le Stylo Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Amethyst:

Lancome, the high-end American skincare and makeup brand needs no introduction. I am a huge fan of their mascaras, although their pricing can be steep.

The Doll Me Up Box included the Lancome Le Stylo Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Amethyst. I love purple eyeliners, and especially so on the waterline. It is a universally flattering shade.

This eyeliner glides on smoothly, and the gorgeous hue of purple is highly pigmented. Best of all, it doesn’t budge all through an intense 9 hour work day.

This eyeliner retails for AED 100.

The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Trustworthy:

This product is definitely my favorite from the box! Love, love this shade of nude, the color payoff is intense and the formulation is very comfortably wearable. But best of all, it has this hint of vanilla mint I never saw coming in a liquid lipstick. Absolutely in love with you Matt(e)!

This liquid lipstick retails for AED 75.

Fusion Beauty Color Shine Sheer Plumping Gloss in Glow:

Just a single swipe, and your lips get this enticingly cooling tingle leaving them looking just that bit more smoothly and plumped out. The color is a little lost on me, but I’d wear this under my regular lippies for added oomph.

This gloss retails for AED 140.

Borghese Satin Shadow Milano Trio in Romantico Brown:

When I first saw this mini palette, I was a little skeptical. The packaging looks interesting, yet not very high-end. Also, I am not a fan of sponge applicators, and this is what was included in the pack.

I was expecting major fall-out, but the texture turned out to be surprisingly soft and silky. The colors are very wearable, and despite being so tiny in size and containing only 3 shades, you can create quite a number of different looks with this one.

This palette retails for AED 114.

Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain in Coral Crush:

Absolutely love this blush! Just one swipe, and the color pigmentation is so intensely beautiful. A flush of coral makes me look so refreshed and awake, even after a long day at work. I would even use this as an eye-shadow!

This long-lasting blush was created by celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw, and promises to stay put for 12 hours straight.

This blush retails for AED 88.

Overall, I love my stash from Doll Me Up Box. All five of these products were new to me. And what I liked best was that they were all a convenient size for travel. I used all five during my recent Eid trip to Delhi, and all five survived the muggy humidity of the monsoons.

Thank-you team Doll Me Up!
