My family and I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Jumeirah’s newest hotel this month. Trendy new Park Regis Boutique Hotel is quite a stark contrast from what we are used to in the UAE. No expansive lawns or swimming pools, no towering buildings or suited chauffeurs to usher in the traffic.
Instead, you have a trendy, Arabesque 2-storey building at a street corner that can easily be mistaken for yet another villa on the expansive street of Jumeirah Beach Road.
Imagine a bonfire by the beach, a tent on the sandy shores, the waft of a decadent grill… and all this inclusive of the amenities of a 4-star hotel.
The weather is absolutely perfect for camping outdoors, but why take the hassle of setting up base when Bin Majid Beach Hotel has you covered?
Last weekend we had the pleasure of being a part of one of the most unique hotel ventures in the UAE… the Bin Majid Beach Camp.
We are slowly but surely heading into alfresco dining weather, and what better way to spend an idle Friday afternoon than brunching in a garden setting, complete with views of the sea?
I had the pleasure of being invited for the First Year Anniversary of Kempinski Ajman’s Friday Garden Brunch last week, and had a lovely time mingling with like-minded foodies and sampling the elaborate spread, complete with stunning outdoor views and entertainment for little ones.
When I first got introduced to Blue Ink Beachwear, I was rather psyched by the eye-catching prints and colour combinations on the swimsuits. But how do you dress up a swimsuit when lounging around a pool or at the beach? During my recent trip to Tilal Liwa Hotel, I saw quite a few ladies coming down to the pool wearing the complimentary housecoat over their swimwear, not a great look! C’mon ladies, let’s jazz it up! With the help of Anisha Lalani (founder of the Blue Ink Beachwear brand) and the lovely Rosa Bullock from the Sociate PR agency, we came up with three trendy ways to cover up in style.

When packing up for a day by the sea, fashionistas usually ensure their beachwear is up to the mark. The girls at Sun of a Beach took the fashion element a few notches up, and decided to revamp the humble beach towel into a coveted fashion masterpiece.
Wow we are already at the end of Week 2! In Week 1 I was still recovering from the aftermath of bidding 2014 adieu. The scales haven’t budged much, but then again this was never about the weight. 100 Healthy Days is a lifestyle change, one baby-step at a time.
