My husband and I love Far Eastern cuisines, and were quite excited about getting an invite to the Crab Fest at Chimes restaurant. Chimes is one of those little street-side places you could easily blink and miss. The outer signage is old, fading and uninspiring and the gloom factor is exaggerated by the fact that the restaurant resides right at the bottom of Seven Sands, a towering hotel that has been shut down and is now dark and deserted.
Makeup looks for fall are usually predominated with deep browns, a touch of gold shimmer and deep, dark lips. Playing with my palettes this morning, this is what I came up with:
‘When’ masks are the newest addition to the masks section in Sephora Middle East stores. They come in a variety of 5, which are sold together under the ‘When Special Package’.
I reviewed the ‘When Makeup Base‘ earlier, and last night I put the ‘When 10pm’ mask to trial.
The past few months have been strenuously taxing on my system. It’s been a roller-coaster ride of bloat, over-eating, travel, time differences and jet-lag. With minimal time to unwind and detox, the idea of a teatox sounded very inviting. Just swap my regular cuppa with a Bootea if you please!

The product has been a topic of hot debate, with supporters touting it to be a ‘miracle oil’, and cynics reevaluating its ‘breakthrough’ ingredient, PurCellin Oil.

Aquarius magazine is hands down my favorite mag in the UAE. There’s no dearth of women’s lifestyle magazines out there, but Aquarius stays true to real women and continues to feature real, believable people like you and me. As a true blue foodie, I relish the adventure of discovering new places to eat, and my walkathon across The Dubai Mall last weekend was no exception.
The Dubai Mall, for those of you not familiar with the UAE, has been listed under the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest number of retailers under one roof. You can therefore imagine the size of the place… its humongous! And its a great place to window-shop and burn them calories while you’re at it!
I’ve never been a biggie on eye-shadows. I am a bright lippie fan, and was always under the impression you either do up your eyes or the lips, never both. How wrong was I. Eyes and lips, the entire face, need to compliment and blend in together. A smokey eye with a bright red lip is after all, classic siren material!
And so this summer has seen me investing in two of the most talked about eye-shadow palettes out there; Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Urban Decay Naked.
