Tezzy’s Eid Makeup Look

Eid Mubarak my loves! Here’s wishing you a wonderful festive time with near and dear ones, truckloads of love and blessings and decadently aromatic feasts. What are your Eid Al Fitr plans?

Blessed to have a 4-day weekend! We are spending the first day with family, and the festivities are the perfect excuse to glam up and get all that ‘over the top’ bling out for some daylight from the dark crevices of my wardrobe.

My exotic outfit was shouting out for some bold, Indian-style makeup. I envision Indian makeup to be a combination of dewy, sparkly gold and red so I went for bright red lips using the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored, and a shimmering gold eye look, complete with an eyeliner flick that would make Cleopatra proud.

Ramadan Weekend Away at Bin Majid Beach Hotel, Ras Al Khaimah

Mummy-Daughter Date at Eat Greek Kouzina

Every Friday morning, my little girl Farasha and I have a special weekend ritual that we call ‘Girls Day Out‘. While daddy snoozes, we like to go out for a bout of girlie shopping, and often treat ourselves to a light lunch.

My daughter is only 7, and this means our dining options are often restricted to quick fixes that end with a free toy. However, I’ve recently discovered that one of my favorite Greek restaurants also has quite a specialized kid’s menu.

This was us a couple of Fridays back at Eat Greek Kouzina, The Dubai Mall. Was super fun shooting with the Eat Greek Kouzina and Le Pear Societe team, and they were so patient with my super hyper bunny. Click ‘play’ on the below Instagram post to see:

Moist Lover Rubber Mask by Dr. Jart+

First there were sheet masks, and now we have rubber masks! I got this rather freaky looking mask from the Sephora beauty event early last month, and finally decided to give it a go.

As the name suggests, the sole purpose of this mask is to really, really up the moisturizing level of the skin. Given I have normal to dry skin, I was hoping my face would really soak up all that moisturizing goodness.

Iftars in the UAE 2018

Ramadan Kareem! Here’s wishing you and your loved ones a very joyous, blessed month.

Ramadan is by far my most favorite month of the year. This month of fasting observed by Muslims the world over is the perfect time for personal introspection, a time for both a physical and emotional cleanse.

Apart from the shorter work hours that we enjoy in our part of the world, I love how everything comes to life in the evenings. The Ramadan markets will soon be abuzz, and the malls are open well past midnight. And the food… we are absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to both Iftar and Suhoor buffets.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a few Iftars, and will keep updating this list as the month goes by. Hope you find it useful!
