If you are following me on Instagram (my handle is @thetezzyfiles) you’ve probably been bombarded with my Insta Stories and posts from our mini break at Bin Majid Beach Hotel. Located on the scenic beach strip of Ras Al Khaimah, this 4-star property is one of the oldest and well-loved in the Northern emirate, and for good reason too.
Bin Majid Beach Hotel is the perfect choice for a family break, and with a group of friends as the property also offers a number of interesting outdoor activities and a beautiful, sandy private beach.
We were here earlier this year for the Bin Majid Beach Camp, and still rave about the unique experience. And then there was the Hollywood-worthy romantic Valentine’s dinner for two in our very own private canopy by the beach (click here if you missed it). Bin Majid Beach Hotel is always upping their game!
This Ramadan, Bin Majid Beach Hotel is offering an offer that is almost too good to be true… for as little as AED 440 per couple, you get a 1 night stay in a standard room, free access to the pool and private beach along with a bout of kayaking, and get this…. unlimited food and drink (alcoholic included for those who indulge) across all the hotel’s F&B outlets!
This time round, we spent a night in their cozy, colorful retro-style standard room… and most of the day was spent by the pool and beach.
We broke fast at Al Rahala restaurant, the hotel’s all-day dining hub. The Mediterranean buffet features a range of starters, a number of delicious mains and continental desserts.
To drown it down, we had coffee at Arcadia Cafe, and enjoyed late-night live entertainment and a round of billiards at Pebbles Bar.
We went for a late night stroll a little before midnight, and discovered a very authentic shisha hub just 5 minutes away from the property. Bedecked with festive twinkling lights, Saltanah is a well kept secret among Ras Al Khaimah residents. The interiors are done up to resemble an Arabesque majlis, and also includes comfy leather recliners. And here’s the best part of it all… shisha is only AED 20 each! Where in the world do you get shisha this cheap?!
After a serenely dreamy day by the poolside and beach, complete with kayaking adventures to boast of, an elaborate buffet dinner at Rahala, and heavy puffs of shisha, we had a wee snooze on our comfy beds enjoying the peaceful ambiance with the little one snugly asleep.
An elaborate Suhoor was served in our room a little after 2 am. The suhoor features eggs the way you like them, a range of fresh fruit and Arabic cheese and dips.
We were granted a late check-out and were back on the road home by 2 pm. What a memorable stay!
