Desigual, the unconventionally quirky, colorful brand from Barcelona, has long been one of my absolute favorites. I love their riot of colors, their unique take on combining world cultures, the signature mandala motif, and above all, the brand’s take on non-conformance. Desigual is anything but a fashion sheep. Straying away from mainstream trends, Desigual may have many a ‘me too’ wannabes, but nothing comes quite as close to the DNA of crazy-cool cuts and colors that is so ‘Desigual’.

Come 2017, and the brand announced the launch of the ‘New Desigual’, a range that would appeal to all, including those who shy away from color. I for one was dreading it. I LOVE the brand’s take on color clashes; you either love it or hate it. Surely they cannot have something for everyone? If you too are a die-hard fan of Desigual, fret not! The new collection is bigger and better than ever, and includes 6 sub-categories of looks.

The new collection has a whole new range of exceptionally stylish jackets. I fell in love with the Desigual Diven Blazer. With a formal blazer-style cut, this jacket can easily be taken from a casual day out right into the boardroom.

It features bold black and white stripes, making it an eye-catcher at first glance.

On one side, the jacket features a feminine floral print, and on the other you have a quirky-fun doodle. This juxtaposed design element beautifully represents the bold yet feminine women who love to dress up ‘Desigual’.

 

I also love the rolled up sleeve detailing. It features a splash of Desigual’s iconic colors that fit the theme of the brand’s logo.

This jacket is a statement piece in itself, and would work perfectly well with a monotone outfit. However, I am a Desigual fan through and through, and therefore decided to clash mine with more color.

My mandala-printed pants are also Desigual ofcourse! But these are from a couple of seasons back. They fit me like a glove, and like all things Desigual they have lasted through quite a number of washes with no defect.
