Cheers to the long weekend! And if you are about to indulge in yet another round of retail therapy, you might as well splurge your wallets someplace outside the malls and grab a few uniquely stunning bargains.

Numaish is back with the Numaish Winter Show, and it is taking place at Murooj Rotana this Saturday 10th December from 11 am to 9 pm. Skim through the stalls of some of the best upcoming fashion designers from India, Pakistan, the UAE and the United Kingdom and stand out from the crowd in stunning ethnic and Indo-Western outfits that are guaranteed to ooze envy in your social circle!

One of the talented designers to look out for at Numaish is Aiman Agha. Following the footsteps of her father who specialized in traditional embroidery, Aiman went on to graduate from NIFT Delhi. Her style pays homage to traditional Indian embroidery, yet somehow manage to be boldly modern and perfectly befitting for the woman of today.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?

Since childhood I have always seen my father working in the same field, he used to have his workshop at our hometown where all these hand embroideries were done. I grew up watching him putting endless efforts in his work, then gradually it became my passion to illustrate and to make miniatures .Soon after pursuing my graduation from NIFT I decided to follow my dreams by setting up my own unit, from where I can take his name forward in the same direction .

Tell us more about the latest collection that you are showcasing at Numaish.

We are here with the best from every collection, so basically we have a mix of our hot selling pieces including our signature Hand cut Applique, exquisite kurtas of Gold & silver Dori Embroideries and off course a bit of silk thread embroidered pieces.

What are the key inspirations behind this collection?

Our collection always aims at making people realize to love their own skin & specially the body type, I believe Anti-fit is the term we follow in our collection to give more comfort & twist to the silhouettes.

Given UAE does not have a very cold winter, what would you suggest for a stylish winter look?

According to me a good length scarf would do wonders to change the whole look, depending on the way it is draped . For somebody who prefers layering can put Jersey and cotton mesh all together . Adding more to it a denim shirt could be worn with a legging /pants with a complimentary flannel trench may be.
