Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub

Lush Santa's Lip Scrub review

Kissable Christmas lips: Smooth and soften lips with our scrumptious, cola-flavored lip scrub. Caster sugar exfoliates away all the rough, dry bits while coconut oil moisturizes for soft, supple kissers. You’ll be smitten with the yummy cola flavor and the smattering of tiny, edible red hearts. Simply rub onto lips and lick off, then apply your favorite gloss, lipstick or our Santa Baby lip tint. Soft and tasty lips for the winter season – perfect! – Lush website.

With the advent of cooler months, dry winter skin is sure to make its very first appearance on the thinner, lesser hydrated skin of the lips. Lip balms may be your staple all year round, but giving your lips a little exfoliation can do wonders at buffing away dry, dead skin and revealing smoother, sexier, kissable Christmas lips.

Lush has a lip-smacking range of edible lip scrubs that smell divinely delicious. One of my favorites is Bubble Gum, but by far, the yummiest of all has to be their limited edition Santa’s Lip Scrub. I’ve bought this in the last quarter of each year, for three years running and am pretty addicted to its cherry cola flavor.

The scrub actually contains cherry and dates, and has a rough sand-like texture thanks to its main ingredient, castor sugar. This acts as the buffing agent, and the sugar dissolves away as you exfoliate.

The lip balm has an edible red coloring giving it the festive ‘Santa’ appeal. I’m not a big fan of colour additives, but thankfully this does not leave any staining.

The lip scrub is very easy to use. You just take a pinch of product and scrub it in circular motion all over the lips to smooth out the skin.

The downside of this scrub is that it can be pretty messy business. The product is safe enough to lick away, and tastes like a yummy cherry cola candy. I still need to wipe away residue.

Lush’s lip scrubs contain hydrating oils which leave the lips feeling well moisturized, smooth and supple, and are a lifesaver when using particularly matt, unforgiving shades of lipstick.

Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

lush golden wonder bath bomb review

Fancy an uplifting cocktail? Cognac and zesty lime oils get this bath party started with mood-brightening scents while sweet orange oil refreshes the senses. In the water, this present-shaped fizzer unwraps itself to reveal glittering golden luster and a sparkling turquoise explosion. Don’t wait until Christmas day to bathe yourself in festive luxury! – Lush website

How pretty is this bath bomb?! Made to look like a special little gift, this shimmery golden block is a real bath-time treat that would maklush golden wonder bath bomb review1e a lovely Christmas treat.

Lush’s Golden Wonder Bath Bomb leaves golden dust on the hands when touched.

I find all this golden shimmer to be perfect for the festive season. If you’re into glitter, you’ll absolutely love this bath bomb.

It has a subtle citrus scent, that is very refreshing to the senses. The scent is calming yet invigorating at the same time, and this makes the Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb perfect for an early morning bath, as well as a relaxing soak after a long day at work.

When dunked into a tub of warm water, the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb fizzes out a beautiful array of colours.

The inner parts of the bath bomb let out gorgeous hues of blues, purples and violets and a few festive stars.

I was worried the little stars would clog up my bath, but thankfully it all fizzled and dissolved into my bath water.

The water turned into a beautiful turquoise aquamarine with magical waves of golden. It looks like something out of a fairytale, and I almost regretted pulling the plug after the bath had run cold.

If you love the scent of citrus, and want a festive shimmer in your bath, Lush’s Golden Wonder Bath Bomb is made for you!

Christingle

christingle by lush review body conditioner

Who will top the Christmas tingles chart? With peppermint and menthol crystals to awaken and stimulate the body, this is the number one to turn to over the festive season. Cover wet skin with the feeling of fresh, crisp snow by smoothing on invigorating spearmint and grapefruit oils for a citrus and mint kick. Then, simply rinse off for clearer minds and softer bodies. – Lush website.

Lush’s Christingle is a body conditioner you use in the shower and rinse off, as you would a hair conditioner. This was a new concept to me, and I was pretty skeptical. With normal to dry skin, I prefer using hydrating products that stay on my skin. Surely there was no point in using one that was meant to be rinsed off?

After my usual scrub and rinse in the shower, I rubbed in Lush’s Christingle all over the body and loved how refreshingly ‘tingly’ it felt on my skin. It really did feel like first snow on the skin! The active ingredients peppermint and menthol crystals really invigorate and wake up the senses.

The peppermint and menthol really cool the body, and this product would be great to carry in the gym bag. Lush’s Christingle would be a godsend after a strenuous, sweaty workout!

The scent of this body conditioner is predominantly mint. It is a simple scent that has no underlying elements, and can almost be compared to a very strong, minty-fresh toothpaste. The pale blue coloring of the product makes it all the more comparable to toothpaste!

Although the Lush Christingle body conditioner is enriched with Murumuru and Shea butter, this product is more for invigorating and refreshing the skin than hydrating. After rinsing off this body conditioner, you still need good lashes of your usual body moisturizer.

Living in hot, humid UAE, I wish Christingle would be available all year round. Gotta stock up!

It’s also filled with glittering sparkles to make your skin look like it’s been kissed by twinkling snowflakes. Lush’s First Snow dusting powder is true to its name. As light as snow, this product blends magically into the skin leaving a beautiful glow of pale shimmer that would look lovely dusted onto the collarbones and accentuated across the arms, and even the legs.

The powder is very finely milled giving it stakes in the luxury powder category.

It has a gorgeous citrus fragrance that is very similar to the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb. I love the freshness of this subtle scent, and just wish it would linger on for longer.

A dusting powder; how ladylike does that sound?! And one with a pretty festive shimmer like Lush’s First Snow makes it all the more magical.
