You already know it’s going to be a fine-dining experience when the venue is Atlantis, The Palm Dubai and as a hard-core steak lover, Seafire Steakhouse & Bar has been on my wish-list for a while. With moody lighting and a carnivorous display of specialized cuts of meat in a stylized freezer right at the reception, I knew I was in a meat eater’s paradise right from the start.

Meat lovers rejoice! American barbeque specialist Mighty Quinn’s has finally made their debut into the Dubai foodie scene at JBR.
Mighty Quinn’s is not your everyday grill-house. Specializing in slow-cooked, wood fired all-natural meats and poultry, Mighty Quinn’s promises an authentic barbeque experience that was born in the South, and perfected in the Big Apple.
We booked a table there last Thursday, and were in for a real treat. #WowJBR is in full swing, and the entire JBR strip is lined up with interesting market stalls, and in the evenings, there are live performances and activities for kids. With hum-inducing, rhythmic tunes from local band Sandstorm, we decided to go alfresco, right at the edge of all the action.
Tribes Carnivore is a meat glutton’s sanctuary. This South African chain, with its colorful tribal decor, wallet-friendly pricing and hip-swaying live entertainment, has always been one of my favorite spots to dine at in The Dubai Mall.
I was recently invited for a tasting session to try out their brand new menu, and was in for an even bigger treat. You see, the last time I visited Tribes, it was during the warmer months. This time round, they had a table booked for me on the terrace… and what a magical experience it was!
Are you a hard-core meat eating fiend? Then you are in for a treat. Imagine the finest cuts of meat, served right at your table… and at a set price of AED 135 (for lunch) and AED 165 (for dinner) its an ‘all you can eat’ concept!
Come in with an empty stomach and wear your comfiest, stretchy-waist pants because Tribes Carnivore has opened up a brand new branch at the centrally located Dubai Mall itself! This new branch features an outdoor terrace boasting of stunning views of the Dubai Fountains and the mighty Burj Khalifa, and the interiors are stylishly exotic.
What was my first impression of The Meat Co? Simply “wow”! Walking into this South African steakhouse set in picturesque Souk Al Bahar transports the senses into another world altogether.
Theatrically dim amber lighting, embossed leather upholstery with a rustic touch of the Africans, and an introduction to the hip-swaying rhythms of shosholaza. The ambiance at The Meat Co is simply magical.
