Bio Oil is a topical oil that claims to work wonders for reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks and wrinkles, and add life to dehydrated and aging skin. The product has been a topic of hot debate, with supporters touting it to be a ‘miracle oil’, and cynics reevaluating its ‘breakthrough’ ingredient, PurCellin Oil.
Aquarius magazine is hands down my favorite mag in the UAE. There’s no dearth of women’s lifestyle magazines out there, but Aquarius stays true to real women and continues to feature real, believable people like you and me. The workaholic, the newly wed, the frazzled mother, the homesick expat. Skimming through the pages of Aquarius, you’re sure to find a pick-me-up to keep you going.
I was therefore truly honored to be chosen as a Reader Judge for the magazine’s annual Aquarius Beauty Heroes edition. 
I’ve always been a beauty hoarder. I am a marketer’s dream (ironic, considering I’m a marketer myself!). I fall for the latest gimmicks, and the prettiest packaging, but I seldom play with my paints.
After attending a number of beauty events as a blogger, I’ve become more adventurous in my quest of morphing into a makeup artist, and the recent months have seen me splurging on a number of gorgeous brands, and gorgeous, gorgeous colors.

I’ve never been a biggie on eye-shadows. I am a bright lippie fan, and was always under the impression you either do up your eyes or the lips, never both. How wrong was I. Eyes and lips, the entire face, need to compliment and blend in together. A smokey eye with a bright red lip is after all, classic siren material!
And so this summer has seen me investing in two of the most talked about eye-shadow palettes out there; Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Urban Decay Naked.
I’ve had Gelish manicures off and on, and love the convenience of not having to worry about nail paint for a beautifully glossy 2 weeks. Gelish nails are therefore ideal for holidays, and when you have long, endless weeks of social events lined up.
The Lancôme Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Foundation is quite a novel concept. This is a liquid foundation that comes in a ‘cushion’ sponge, making it easy to carry on the go, and super easy to apply.
Apart from the cushion technology that offers just the right amount of product per use, the product itself is guaranteed to give a dewy, glowing complexion in seconds and is said to be lightweight, hydrating and brightening.
This is yet another product I got introduced to at the Aquarius Beauty Heroes event as a Reader Judge, and after an initial trial, I had to buy one for myself!
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is a multi-purpose dry oil that can be used all over the body, inclusive of the face, body and hair. This multitasking beauty oil hails from France, and has a cult following from all over the globe. Apparently 1 bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is sold every 5 seconds somewhere in the world!

I tried the ‘When Makeup Base’ mask this weekend, just before a special date night with hubby, and loved what it did for my complexion.
I was first attracted to Dear John by Lush for its cursive font. The packaging of this cologne body spray looks as retro as the scent itself.

28th August, 2015: Today marks the 25th anniversary of Daffodil Day in New Zealand.
Daffodil Day is Cancer Society New Zealand’s annual fundraising event. It was created to raise cancer awareness, as well as encourage donations for cancer research and funding the care of cancer patients in New Zealand.
Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings, and is therefore the perfect icon for Cancer Society New Zealand.
