I got introduced to Canadian-born makeup brand Cover FX at the Sephora Middle East Summer 2017 launch, and have been contemplating on using the cute little Cover FX Click Cream Enhancer I was given ever since.
I am not sure why I took this long. As a beauty blogger I get inundated with a wide range of makeup goodies, and this wee product was getting side-tracked to the back of my trials list.
An Intro on Cover FX
Brand new to the Middle Eastern market, Cover FX is a Canadian makeup brand specializing in foundations and highlighters. The brand ethos is all about creating makeup that is loaded with ‘good for you’ ingredients that are high on quality, vegan and cruelty-free.
“We steer clear of the Inflammatory 5: parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, and talc. Instead, we pack our products with vitamins, emollients and redness reducers.” – CoverFX.com
Cover FX keeps the global woman in mind, and has a color match for all skin tones and ethnicities. Till date, the brand stocks 40 unique shades of foundations giving beauty junkies the option of flexible coverage and intensity, sheer to full, in the right finish and shade that fits individual needs.
What is the Cover FX Enhance Click Cream Enhancer?
A cream-based highlighter that comes in a compact, easy to use ‘click open and twist up’ casing. This product comes in 9 different color variations.
“It’s formulated with ultra-fine pearls to impart a sophisticated radiance that doesn’t look glittery. It features multiple, universally flattering shades so you can customize your perfect glow. ” – Sephora.com
How to Use the Cover FX Enhance Click Cream Enhancer:
This cream-based highlighter is perfect for strobing and highlighting the features. Use on its own for a believably healthy, youthful glow or intensify your current highlighting game by using it as a base under your favorite powder highlighter.
Tezzy’s Experience with the Cover FX Enhance Click Cream Enhancer
Although I have totally bought into the whole highlighting and strobing craze (let’s face it, its a war out there! Girls want their highlighters to outshine the sun!), I prefer a more subtle sheen for my everyday look. I’m sure you know what I mean… that subtle glow that makes you think ‘Wow! She must have had hours of beauty sleep! I wonder who her facialist is!’
I barely get 6 hours of blink-time on an average weekday, and crave that youthful, dewy look that gaudy, glittery highlighter can never achieve (let’s save the gold for evenings out).
This is where a cream highlighter comes in as a blessing. Most highlighter giants come out with their best-selling highlighter shades in powder, liquid and cream form, the intensity of which dribbles down in that very same order.
The Cover FX Enhance Click Cream Enhancer is a highlighter in cream form, hence the intensity of shine is more subtle. Sephora.com lists this product as the ‘Cover FX Enhance Click Highlighter‘, perhaps for the convenience of typos (I’ve done the same in my title image). However, the product packaging never uses the word ‘highlighter’. Instead, it is given the far more apt title of ‘cream enhancer’.
And there you have it… a beautifully pigmented cream enhancer that melts onto the skin for ease of blendability. Below is a swatch of the Cover FX Enhance Click in Rose Gold; just one swipe gave me this gorgeous bronzed gold:
What I Love About the Cover FX Enhance Click Cream Enhancer
- Highly pigmented. Just one swipe is all you need.
- Very blendable.
- Gives you that believable glow sans the glitter.
- Adorably cute, compact packaging.
- Very affordably priced for a premium brand.
-
Clinically tested, vegan, and free of fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, and talc.
The Negatives:
- If you are looking for a high-shine highlighter, this is not for you. I’d suggest going for a powder-form highlighter instead.
- This product is tiny. Yes its very cute and compact, but it can also get lost very easily in your makeup pile.
