#ootd Anotah LBD

As you can see from my recent posts, December has been a very indulgent month. The foodie in me is taking center stage, and its starting to show around the midriff big time!

The colour black really does hide a multitude of sins, and an LBD (‘Little Black Dress’) in my opinion, is a closet essential every girl should own.

I found this gem of a dress at Anotah, the rather quirky, outlandish fashion label hailing from Kuwait. Their collections are far from mainstream, and they never shy away from the use of unusual colour combinations. My kind of place I tell you!

This however, one is a plain, plain black.

The beauty of the dress lies in the quirky folds of the bottom half.

It is pleated to look like a ‘Bubble Skirt’.

Like the majestic folds of a theatrical curtain, this simple yet rather different styling is quite ‘show-stopping’ don’t you think?

Not only does this dress boost the confidence of a bloated festive-season me, it is also super-duper comfy! The material is a stretchy, breathable fabric that feels like Lycra.

I love the versatility of a plain black dress. I am sure I can get so many different looks out of this one.

Here, I’ve kept it simple and just piled my arms with noisy, silver bangles. On my ears, I wore simple silver hoops.

The black and white heels are from Aldo.

I plan to wear this with different statement necklaces, and a change of shoe styles will completely change the overall look. Any suggestions?

And here’s the best part of all… I got this lovely, comfy, versatile dress for a steal! The original price on the tag reads AED 330 and I got it off the sale rack for AED 70. Gotta love bargains!
