First day of the 4-day Eid weekend saw us window-shopping in Dragon Mall, and I decided to dress up my casual denims with the funky Auto Rickshaw shirt from Quirkbox. I bought this gorgeous shirt from Orange Boxy (yup! the same super-awesome online retailer who sells the uber cool Habibi coffee mug!).

For those of you who don’t know what an auto rickshaw is, it s a 3-wheeler public taxi that is very popular in the Indian subcontinent. If you’ve been to Thailand, an auto rickshaw is the Indian equivalent of a Thai tuk tuk.

The auto rickshaw has become an icon in Indian pop art, and the super funky brand Quirkbox takes it a step further with this flying auto rickshaw print; an auto rickshaw suspended on a flying hot air balloon!

I love the very textbook style sketch on this shirt, and the contrasting orange with the sober steel grey makes this shirt funky, yet very ladylike and elegant.
