Hair Care making Mane Headlines (pun intended)!

I’ve been introduced to a plethora of new hair care products off-late, but there have been a certain few that have stood out from the rest.

I am a huge fan of Lush shampoo bars. Using a shampoo in a bar format is a novel concept, and they last for ages (give or take 3 months for me, and I wash my hair every other day!).

Keeping up with the Lush philosophy, Lush shampoo bars are made of the freshest ingredients minus chemical nasties and parabans.

The newest addition to the range is the Lush New Shampoo Bar. Loaded with the aromatic scent of cinnamon, this gorgeous shampoo is all about loving the scalp. Rosemary and nettle cleanse and protect the scalp, and also provide it a stimulation for hair growth. Peppermint infusions add a burst of freshness, and give the locks a lovely shine.

This shampoo bar is great for a thorough cleanse, and given it comes in a bar form, its an ideal companion for travel (no more spills!).

L’Oreal IT Looks for summer is the volume-enhancing shag layers cut. On trend, and seen on the catwalk as well as on celebrities including British model Eddie Campbell, the style can be interpreted in a number of ways ranging from grungy, messy, dusty and long to the traditional 70’s look.

I am loving how bright hues of red are making a reappearance in hair news. Taking cues from groovy style diva Rihanna, L’Oreal’s IT Looks for summer include accentuated shag cuts with red highlights. I am digging the look below; I want!

Created by UK celebrity stylist Luke Hersheson, this brand of salon-savvy tools that are available for home users made its mark on the fashion map way back in the early nineties.

The high-quality tools can turn a novice like me into a hairdressing pro. If only the prices weren’t as steep!
