Tucked away in a quiet corner of DIFC is one of Dubai’s latest Italian imports, one with the much coveted Michelin Star association. The Artisan by Enoteca Pinchiorri already has a huge fan following in Florence, and the dishes this restaurant churns out under the guidance of 3 Michelin Star Chef Annie Féolde are fabled to be absolute works of art.

The original branch in Florence has been around since the early 1970’s, and was established by Chef Annie and Giorgio Pinchiorri. Today, the restaurant has earned a reputation as an institution for gourmet excellence, and I was therefore super excited about the prospect of trying out their highly coveted Italian spread, right here in Dubai.

I have dined at Ananta, The Oberoi a countless number of times before, and the enticing, ever-changing menu here never fails to impress. Staying true to the culinary traditions of India, Ananta has always been one to keep true to its Indian roots, and the whole premise of their offerings has been to uncover forgotten gems from the different states of India.

Ananta’s traditional stance has definitely paid off, and the restaurant has received a number of accolades including being awarded 3 Black Hats under the What’s On 2016 edition of the ‘The Black Hat Restaurant Guide’, and bagging the prestigious BBC Good Food Award for ‘Best Indian Fine-Dining Restaurant in the Middle East 2014’.

Awadhi Cuisine, which originates from the princely Indian province of Lucknow, is rarely seen offered on UAE menus. Executive Head Chef Dirham Haque explores the tantalizing flavours of Awadhi cuisine and its rich cultural linkup with Mughlai, Punjabi and North Indian cooking, and does a great job at recreating a feast you would only expect to be served at a Nawabi table.

Taking the premise of Awadhi cuisine, Chef Dirham has created a delicious lineup of Indian Muslim dishes for Ramadan.

Being charitable, generous and giving are just some of the kind virtues we are encouraged to act upon during the holy month of Ramadan. If you are looking for an easy way to give back to the community, you might want to consider being a part of the #AKiloOfKindness campaign by Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The hotel has teamed up with Beit Al Kheir, a special local charity that will benefit from the donation. All you have to do is donate a kilogram of non-perishable food items, and these will be distributed among the less-fortunate.

I recently posted this #MakeupSelfie on Instagram, a rather minimal look that I think is perfect for Ramadan and late-night Iftar and Suhoor soirees. Quite a few of you have inboxed me on how to get this look, so without much ado I am sharing my Ramadan Makeup Look ‘recipe’ with you 🙂

It has all the makings of sci-fi fantasy. Walk into the chamber, and come out a rejuvenated, younger you! Back in the day they got the beauty world addicted to the concept of tanning beds. Fastforward to today, and the Dr. Müller brand continues to lead the race by introducing the industry to the concept of Beauty Light Therapy.

Just when I thought I’d found the epitome of foundation perfection, the Shiseido Syncro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation lands on my reviewing desk. I love my Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation, and being rather brand loyal, was rather reluctant to make a shift. However, this brand new contender has ticked far too many boxes than I first gave it credit for, and I’m totally obsessed!

Leopold’s of London: Named after a fabled wanderer who sourced spices and teas from around the globe and later opened shop in London, this gourmet cafe-style eatery located on The Beach JBR boasts of stunning views of the Dubai shoreline.

What better way to break fast than witnessing the mellowing sunset on this scenic shoreline canvas, with the silhouetto of The Palm Jumeirah in the backdrop? We had the pleasure of breaking our very first fast this Ramadan at Leopold’s of London, and had the very memorable experience indeed.

When I first got introduced to Blue Ink Beachwear, I was rather psyched by the eye-catching prints and colour combinations on the swimsuits. These pieces are so gorgeous, that I’m willing to wear one of these swimsuits to work! (Check out my last post on how to wear swimwear to work by clicking here).

But how do you dress up a swimsuit when lounging around a pool or at the beach? During my recent trip to Tilal Liwa Hotel, I saw quite a few ladies coming down to the pool wearing the complimentary housecoat over their swimwear, not a great look! C’mon ladies, let’s jazz it up! With the help of Anisha Lalani (founder of the Blue Ink Beachwear brand) and the lovely Rosa Bullock from the Sociate PR agency, we came up with three trendy ways to cover up in style.

As a food blogger I’ve had the pleasure of being invited to an endless array of tastings, but it isn’t every day that I get to spend a Friday morning in the grilling station of one of Dubai’s finest grilling restaurants. Located on the ground floor of Crowne Plaza Dubai, Chamas Churrascaria & Bar looks every bit a carnivore’s dream. Even prenoon, the interiors are dimly lit, flamboyant and inviting.

Chamas‘ translates to ‘flame’ in Brazilian, and ‘Churrascaria‘ is a place where meats are cooked in the traditional ‘churrasco’ style of barbecuing on skewers, often on open flame. I was invited here by the wonderful team at “Kitchens of Dubai”. These storytellers showcased to us how the essential elements of water and heat come to play at mastering the art of grilling.

I am a scarf hoarder, and can’t resist picking up pieces with particularly eye-catching prints and colour combinations. A scarf is a versatile summer wardrobe must-have, and I just wanted to do a recap on how I manage to wear one of my favorites in three totally different styles:

We are in the age of advocating recycling, and here I am recycling an old post you might have missed 🙂 I bought this scarf from Zara about a year ago, and love its funky leopard print and gorgeous turquoise hue. So fresh and summery without being a cliche floral I’d say!
