Numaish, by far my favorite fashion exhibition in Dubai, never fails to impress the shopaholic in me looking for quirky Indo-Western finds that are anything but run of the mill. Numaish carefully curates India’s best upcoming fashion talents under one easy shopping roof, and this month you really need to save up to splurge at their AM:PM Fashion Trunk Show!
AM:PM is the brainchild of fashion design couple Ankur and Priyanka Modi (such a clever take on their names, don’t you think?). Their unique take on Indian fashion has won them a number of accolades over the years including the Elle Style Awards for two consecutive years (2011 and 12), and the title of ‘Most Popular Designer’ at the prestigious India Fashion Forum in 2016.
The AM:PM label has become a favorite among Bollywood beauties including Jacqueline Fernandes, Kajol, Diya Mirza, Neha Dhupia and Tabu to name a few.
The concept of AM:PM lies in the use of high-quality weaves and the recreation of traditional prints and embellishments.
AM:PM is launching not one, but two exclusive new collections right here in Dubai this month… even before it’s seen in the Indian market!
First up is ‘The Gypset’ collection, hot off the runway. Part free-spirited vagabond and part glamorous jet setter, the muse this season leads the carefree lifestyle of a gypsy with the sophistication of a worldly traveller.
The second collection, entitled ‘Qalb’ (translating to ‘heart’) is inspired by the ethnic arts and crafts of Madhya Pradesh. The color palette is predominantly deep indigo and dyed prints, but with the artistic twist that AM:PM has come to be known for.
