What’s not to love about Sephora? Arguably Dubai’s number one destination for all things beauty, Sephora keeps upping the game every season with the launch of brand new global beauty brands under its umbrella.

I had the pleasure of being invited to the sneak peek of Sephora’s Summer 2017 launch, and had a firsthand experience of some very lust-worthy products that are scheduled to hit the Sephora shelves around June/July 2017:

Zoeva

Founded in 2008 by Zoe Boikou, Zoeva is a German beauty brand named after ‘Zoe’, which is Greek for ‘life’, and Eva, the very first woman.

The sole essence of the brand is to empower women with self-esteem to give them more self-confidence and awareness of their own individual beauty.

Apart from their makeup range, Zoeva specializes in high-quality makeup brushes. I was gifted this absolutely stunning Zoeva eye-shadow palette and a set of 3 eye-shadow brushes.

 

I promise to do a more in-depth review on these goodies, but my first impressions were just ‘wow!’. Love the velvet-like packaging of the eye-shadow palette, and all the colors are so beautifully pigmented and wearable.

 

Black Up

Arguably the most colorful stall at the Sephora Summer Launch event, Black Up is a Parisian cosmetics brand  that was specifically made for women of color. It is no wonder that the colors here are so vividly vibrant and pigmented! We colored girls are blessed with the ability to carry off far more vivacious shades than our fairer sisters 😉

But rest assured, the brand has shades for everyone! We got to walk away with a tube of the Black Up No Transfer Matte Liquid Lipcolor in LM01. This dusky nude shade will suit a wide range of skin-tones, and really does stay put all day long! Stay tuned for a complete review.

 

Cover FX

Cover FX is a cosmetics brand specializing in base makeup that boasts of a wide, global shade palette, but what makes them very special is their innovative ingredients. Apart from their super colour-matching capabilities, Cover FX products are laoded with skin-loving ingredients that promise to deliver a smooth, flawless complexion to all women despite their age, ethnicity or skin-type.

I am especially looking forward to trying out their signature Cover FX Custom Cover Drops, a revolutionary pure pigment that can be added to your favorite moisturizer to create a tinted moisturizer of your own.

 

Huda Beauty

We’ve been flicking her mink lashes, swooning over her liquid lip-colors, and going gaga over her Rose Gold eye-shadow palette that literally broke the beauty internet. Look out ladies, this summer we’re all going to be queuing up for the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palettes! Exclusive to Sephora, this gorgeous palette comes in 2 variations, and will be available from June 2017. I personally love the Golden Sands edition!

 

#MadeInSephora Colorful Skincare

Apart from introducing us to a whole new lineup of international beauty must-haves, Sephora continues to rev up their own label with ultra cute beauty must-haves.

After the roaring success of their Colorful Masks range, Sephora is back with a whole new range of naturally fortified beauty products under the flagship of ‘Colorful Skincare’.

 

For the lips, the range includes 5 different flavor variations of lip balms, and an exfoliating lip scrub in honey.

The range also includes a wide range of micellar cleansers, cleansing creams and wipes that make makeup removal a breeze, and are sure to keep the skin clean and clear throughout the hot and humid UAE summer.

 

One of my favorites from the range is their exfoliating face wipes. These wipes have an exfoliating side to give the face a good scrub, whilst the other side works as a wipe to cleanse and calm the skin. I am going to be carrying these in my bag all summer long, and especially like the Green Tea variant that promises to mattify the skin and keep it blemish-free. The exfoliating face wipes are also available in Charcoal, for purifying and detoxifying.
