One of the most scenic places to lunch in the Emirate of Sharjah has to be at the strip of restaurants along the Al Majaz Waterfront.
Elevation Burger is the newest addition to the Al Majaz neighbourhood of eateries, and we lunched there this week courtesy Zomato.
The restaurant is clean, spacious and airy, and the floor-to-ceiling glass paneling across the space takes full advantage of the breathtaking splendor of the Al Majaz waterfront view.
I love the turquoise-dark brown colour combination used for Elevation Burger’s interior design. It blends in beautifully with the sea views.
With sunlight flooding in, and the contrasting blues from the scenic outdoors and the ambience itself, we were in zen mode. And the photos came out beautifully too!
At 2 in the afternoon, the restaurant was near-empty. Given this branch is still a newbie in the neighborhood, its a matter of time before this space gets discovered by the burger-munching masses.
Here’s a look at our lunch:
I like how the burgers are served in paper pockets; they are so much easier to handle, as you would a sandwich!
Hubby had Elevation Burger’s ‘Fiery Beef Burger’, a monstrously good sandwich featuring two ground beef patties and melting cheddar. You can really taste the beefy goodness at every bite, and the ground meat texture, and the fact that it is grass-fed beef, elevates it to gourmet status.
I wanted to try out Elevation Burger’s newest range, the ‘Organic Chicken Sandwiches’.
I went for Elevation Burger’s ‘Organic Chicken Sandwich’. This sandwich features a fresh chicken patty smeared with barbeque sauce, and topped with melting cheddar and crisp, fresh lettuce. I wanted mine spiced up, so the obliging staff added a handful of jalapenos to the mix.
At Elevation Burger, their fries are freshly cut and deep-fried in olive oil. And you get a choice between regular (‘Fresh Fries’), ‘Fancy Fries’ (fries topped with melted cheddar) and ‘Fiery Fries’. Both hubby and I had Fiery Fries, and these can easily be a meal by themselves.
Elevation Burger’s Fiery Fries feature freshly cut, deep-fried crispy fries that are topped with ground beef, melting cheddar and a pile of jalapeno. Very moreish indeed!
For our drinks, I went for a Barakat Lemon Mint, and hubby had his regular Diet Coke. At Elevation Burger, you get unlimited refills for your fizzies.
We’ve always categorized burgers under the ‘junk food’ category, but at Elevation Burger, they really have ‘elevated’ the game. Unlike major burger counterparts, Elevation Burger prides itself for using the finest of ingredients that would put a grin on health-conscious cynics.
How is Elevation Burger different from the rest of the roost? They’ve spelled it out loud and clear throughout the restaurant. Posters declare they only use organic cheddar cheese, their beef is grass-fed, and everything is cooked in heart-friendly, gluten free olive oil.
Even the tray mat has stories to tell. Apart from their high-quality ingredients, Elevation Burger takes an eco-friendly stance by constructing their sites with sustainable material, and they even send off their used olive oil for recycling (waste oils can be converted to bio-diesel).
On the drinks cup, I read up more on the brand.
Elevation Burger & the Environment:
Elevation Burger is more than a “green” brand. They aim to use environmental resources as efficiently as possible:
- Their restaurants use energy efficient appliances, compact fluorescent lighting and sustainable building materials.
- They are into recycling! Waste oil is recycled into bio-diesel, their cutlery is made from recycled material.
- Their beef is grass-fed, and this helps reduce global warming.
You must be wondering how grass-fed beef can be good for the environment. This disposable cup at Elevation Burger is so informative! Here is how it works: Grass-fed beef, when compared to corn-fed beef, greatly reduces carbon-dioxide emissions responsible for global warming. In the United States alone, 16 million acres of farm space is used for cultivating corn. However, grass pastures are far more efficient at absorbing carbon-dioxide than corn, thereby reducing global warming significantly. Ask for grass-fed beef, you’ll be helping out the planet!
So look up Elevation Burger the next time you have a major burger craving. You know these guys have Mother Earth in mind 🙂 Visit their website for details.
