Seafare at Stage 2 (Vida Downtown Dubai)

Yay its Thursday! I can sniff the weekend!

Stuck for ideas on how to spend your Thursday evening? How about a sip of wine over a tantalizing box of gourmet seafood?

Priced at a mere AED 150 per person, Stage 2 at Vida Downtown Dubai is your Thursday evening wish answered.

The Seafare special runs from 6 pm to 9 pm every Thursday.

After a long, hard day at work, the super comfy sofas at Stage 2 are a welcome retreat. The interiors of Stage 2 resemble a page right out of an interiors magazine.

I love the rustic look and feel of Stage 2’s wooden menu.

The Seafare box looks very spectacular, and includes the following:

Finde Claire Oysters
Boiled Shrimps
Sauteed Squid
Alaskan Crab
Clams
Mussels

A Cocktail Dip and a Citrus Mayo jar accompany the seafood.

Although two mini bottles of Tabasco were also included in the box, my husband wanted something even more fiery and asked the staff if they had any wasabi.

This was a strange request, as Stage 2 is not a Japanese joint. However, our host for the night went out of his way to find us some, can came back with a generous little pot-full. This is what I call excellent service!

I also like how the lemon half included in the box is cleverly wrapped up in muslin so that the seeds are held within. We could try this at home as well!

As for the wine list, the Seafare special allows you to has three glasses and you can pick a combination of your choice from the four that are on offer for the night.
