I had the pleasure of attending a number of shows at Fashion Forward (Season 5) these past few days, and will be sharing a few glimpses from the shows with you.
This Sunday 12th April, Lama Jouni debuted the Dubai fashion scene with her Autumn-Winter 2015 collection.

Lebanese born Lama created the label after her own name in November 2013. Being a relatively young brand, Lama Jouni has upped the fashion stakes with her impressively chic and fashion forward pieces.
Lama has an impressive fashion background. She studied fashion design at the prestigious Parsons & Esmod, Paris and trained under some of the most respected fashion houses including Balmain and Rad Hourani,
Lama’s Parisian influence is evident in the color palettes from her AW2015 collection. Groovy blacks are interspersed with chic hues of beige, white, blush pink, and grey.
Drawing inspiration from her days in Paris and cultural referents, Lama Jouni’s designs aim to inspire brave women who seek to stand out and make their presence known.
Lama Jouni’s Autumn Winter 2015 collection speaks the language of the 70’s Rock n Roll era. Not only does the collection focus on celebrating a daring and independent woman, but it also aims to maintain the softness as essence to the female form.
Daringly accentuated waistlines, plunging necklines, and exaggerated shoulders define the silhouette of this season’s looks.
The look and feel is decadently luxurious, yet comfortably wearable at the same time. The collection boasts of rich fabrics; crepe silk, silk jersey, Italian crepe, mohair wool, silk, and jersey exude feminine grace in modern-day structured form.
Lama Jouni is a label to watch out for. Bold feminine designs exude the women of today, and Lama combines luxury with wear-ability beautifully.
The Lama Jouni collection can be bought online via the brand’s website.
