Are Selfies fun or narcissistic? Arguably the backbone of social media as we know it, selfies are no passing phase and here to stay. Despite its popularity, selfies also get a whole load of slack.
I am super excited to let you know that my blog, The Tezzy Files, got featured in Huffington Post!
The Tezzy Files has been listed under an article entitled “New and upcoming health and fitness websites for you to follow in 2017”. Click here to read the complete article online.
Although the majority of my posts deal mainly with the foodie scene of Dubai, and a whole lot of beauty reviews, I have published a number of posts related to health and wellness (click here to see more). Absolutely stoked to be discovered by Huffington Post, thanks a ton for appreciating my work.
Do look out for more Health & Wellness posts on The Tezzy Files.
I am a huge fan of natural beauty, and am always on the lookout for beauty products made of natural, ethically sourced ingredients. I was therefore very excited when I got contacted by Khadi.
Named after the iconic spun cotton that gained patriotic status with Gandhi’s ‘Khaadi Movement’ way back in 1918, the Khadi beauty brand has been around since 1963 and has only recently become available in the UAE through their online store.
I was sent a lovely assortment of Khadi goodies, and have been incorporating these into my regular beauty regime.
I’ve been using the Starskin The Master Cleanser Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam for nearly two weeks now, and loving that super-clean yet non-drying effect it has on my ‘skin. I was therefore very excited about giving this mask a go.
The Starskin Master Cleanser Detox Sea Kelp Leaf Face Mask, although also based on traditional organic Korean beauty rituals, is very uniquely different from any other sheet mask I’ve used in the past.
First off, the mask itself is hand-cut from real sea kelp leaf and it takes 1,300 hours to make! The mask is drenched in a hydrating essence made of 90.37% organic plant extracts and uses a total of 31 organic ingredients.
I recently posted this #MakeupSelfie on Instagram, a rather minimal look that I think is perfect for Ramadan and late-night Iftar and Suhoor soirees. Quite a few of you have inboxed me on how to get this look, so without much ado I am sharing my Ramadan Makeup Look ‘recipe’ with you 🙂
Every ‘Somvaar‘ (Hindi for Monday), the entrance of Chor Bazaar restaurant at Ibn Battuta Gate transforms into a quaint little Indian marketplace. There is a stall showcasing an array of trinkets, Indian shawls and mirror-worked totes but these are just for show. This ‘bazaar’ is an elaborate buffet, a feast of ‘all you can eat’ delicacies from different corners of India.
Priced at AED 125 per person (or AED 225 with house beverages), the Somvaar Bazaar at Chor Bazaar is a great deal for quality food, set in a five-star ambience.
