My ideal blogging scenario involves a quiet, comfy space along with a frothy cup of coffee. If you are a regular at Costa, chances are you might have seen me there, perked up in a corner hidden behind my laptop screen.

One more sleep to 2016! How are you celebrating?
Given the number of exceptionally good desserts I’ve had the pleasure of forking in to in the last few months, 2015 has been a pretty ‘sweet’ year.
Here is a list of my top 10 favorite desserts from 2015:
Many a weekend, we find ourselves aimlessly driving around Dubai rediscovering favorite nooks and crannies, and often ending up eating an elaborate meal at a brand new joint.
My husband and I have a special ritual for ending these star-studded, feast-filled nights. Being avid tea drinkers, we look up late-night tea stalls. These are the tiny little shops lining major highways, or tucked inside residential pockets. The tea is ever flowing, often spiced up with cardamom, and costs a mere 1 dirham per cup. It’s the perfect, soul-warming sip for ending a gastronomic outing.
During the Christmas weekend, we found ourselves lost in the urban jungle of Karama and the kitsch twinkling of multi-coloured tealights at a roadside vendor caught our attention.
Here I am, back at my office desk after an indulgently good 3-day weekend. The last three days have been brimming with Christmas cheer, delicious treats and over-sleeping.
On Christmas eve, we crawled out of bed just past noon, and had a major craving for a hearty brunch. Being avid foodies, both Hubby and I were game on trying out a completely new place. We’ve heard many good things about Crumble All Day Eatery (aka Crumble Café), and decided to drive down to check them out.

When husband-wife duo Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman opened their very first Clinton Street Baking Company in New York City, little did they know of the phenomenal success that was awaiting their simple yet scrumptious creation. Neil’s blueberry pancakes have been voted the best in the city twice over by New York Magazine, and it was only a matter of time before they hit the Dubai foodie scene.

Clinton Street Baking Company is tucked away in the residential nook of Burj Views, Dubai and has created some serious noise in the foodie scene. Zomato reviews rave about their all-day breakfast menus, and when I saw images of their 15-hour smoked beef ribs, I was at their table in no time!
You can see the regality of St Regis Dubai from miles away. Recently opened on the 20th of November this year, the architectural brilliance of this hotel is nothing short of spectacular.

From the palatial exteriors boasting of a glamorously lit up driveway, to the spacious marbled foyer showcasing spiraling golden stairways, a visit to St Regis is like reliving the glam of the fifties and reminds me of the luxurious backdrops from The Great Gatsby.

After the pre-launch press lunch at Vida Downtown I was fortunate enough to be invited to last week (read all about it here), I was super excited about attending the BBC Food Food Show’s very first stint in the World Trade Center this weekend.

It was a 3-day affair running from 17th to 19th December, and this was a hall full of delights for serious UAE foodies (shopping, tasting and inspirations from world renowned chefs!).

I was invited to an exclusive dinner at the Pure Sky Lounge (Hilton, The Walk JBR) last Wednesday, and got to sample a delicious range of Eastern-Western fusions through their 8-course ‘Dining Experience’ set menu.

The highlight of the evening was meeting Chef Sven Schmidt himself, and trying our hand at recreating his epic ‘Sharing Dessert’! Read on for details on all the fun we had 🙂
Located in the isolation of Barsha 1 (Dubai), Nom Nom is the little Asian ‘hidden gem’ that has been in the spotlight on social media in the past few months.
Perhaps its the quirky Instagram-friendly name, or the hashtagged chopstick logo. Perhaps its the influx of diners raving about the food and posting drool-worthy tributes. As a foodie with a genuine passion for South-East Asian cuisines, I headed to Nom Nom Asia last Wednesday night with the family to investigate on what all the fuss was about.
I had the pleasure of being a part of the launch of Margherita Pizzeria’s very first branch in the UAE. The newly opened branch is located on 123 Sheikh Zayed Road, right next to the Financial Metro Station (Dubai) and offers a tantalizing range of Neapolitan specialty dishes.
As a media invitee, we were treated to a smorgasbord of the restaurant’s signature dishes and ofcourse this included their Margherita Pizza!
