Festive Special: Pumpkin Delight Facial & Massage at Saray Spa (Marriott Al Jaddaf)

Last week I treated myself to some much-needed me time at Marriott Al Jaddaf. Located in a quiet, secluded spot in Downtown Dubai, this 5-star property is minutes away from the city’s main attractions including Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, and the bustling streets of Bur Dubai.

I made an appointment at Saray Spa. Located on the 7th floor of Marriott Al Jadaf, this health and wellness center caters to both men and women and has some amazing deals on offer for this festive season.

For a mere AED 300 I booked an hour-long body massage followed by a half-hour facial treatment. I was hosted by the very adorable Poi who was my therapist for the day, and it turned out that she is from the North Eastern state of Mizoram, very close to my ancestral roots of Assam. We connected right away, and she was even sweet enough to oblige and take a few of my photos for the Insta!

The treatment room is welcomingly scented, dimly lit and has the right kind of mood music to put the senses in a state of zen. My hour-long massage unknotted the tensions of the week, and put me in a deep state of bliss. Pui worked on my back and neck as requested, as these are the points I felt were crying out for more work given my weekly desk job routine.

For my facial treatment, I tried out Saray Spa’s brand new addition of the season; the Pumpkin Delight. Pumpkin is the new beauty vegetable to be reckoned with. Unlike the ever-popular pineapple and papaya enzyme treatments, pumpkin enzymes are believed to be more suitable for sensitive skin. Pumpkin also has a number of skin-loving benefits including deep moisturization and anti-aging properties. At Saray Spa, all the products used for the facial are by June Jacobs, a highly coveted luxury skincare brand from the United States.

The facial gave my face an instant glow and youthful plumpness. I looked so refreshed that I felt confident enough to go down for lunch sans makeup! Check out my Insta Stories for more.

Post treatment, I spent an idle twenty minutes or so in the relaxing area of the spa, sipping on peppermint tea.

I ended my very pampering afternoon with a vegan lunch at The Marketplace, Marriott Al Jaddaf’s all-day dining restaurant located on the lobby level. More on that in my next post, but till then I would suggest making a booking at Saray Spa. For more information on their offers, visit their website. Hurry, these packages are available for a limited time only.
