Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Sephora Middle East Fall 2019 event and spent a great deal of time at the Kat Von D Beauty stall. Love this tattoo artist turned beauty mogul! I’m a sucker for art, great packaging and surreal shades of color, and Kat seems to effortlessly dish it all out time and time again.
Kat Von D Beauty has now come out with a brand new medium-coverage foundation range, and being a brand that values inclusion of all, the range is launching with 40 shades that cover very fair to very deep shades.
What It is
The Kat Von D Beauty True Portrait Foundation is a light-weight, water based medium coverage liquid-to-powder foundation.
The liquid-to-powder formula features an exclusive Elastic Essence™ Effect: a combination of spherical powders which have an elastic core that ensures the foundation never settles into skin. Product Usage
As this is a very light formulation, the Kat Von D Beauty True Portrait Foundation is perfect for everyday wear and gives the wearer a very believable, breathable coverage.
As it is a water-based formulation, using a Beauty Blender or any other sponge applicator is highly discouraged as the product will simply seep into the applicator.
The ideal way to apply this foundation is with your fingers.
A little goes a long way, and you only need a pea-sized squeeze of the bottle for each use.

I’ve been using this foundation almost daily for a week now, and love how light and quick it is to apply. I apply it with my fingertips as I would a face cream, and voila! My base makeup is ready in under a minute.
