Black Can Be Colorful Too

I love color, and hardly have anything black in my wardrobe. So when I finally did splurge on a black evening dress for a special night out, it definitely couldn’t be one that was all-out black and boring.

I found this beauty on the shelves of Debenhams just a week or so before Christmas. It comes under the Miss Selfridge label, and what attracted me to it was the colorful floral embroidery right on the front.

The material is sheer and feminine, making it perfect for formal wear.

A dress like this calls for a bold yet feminine look. Can never go wrong with a winged liner and a bright red pout!

Given I’m such a bohemian at heart, I paired this dress with a whole pile of my favorite semi-precious stone jewelry, and my favorite Sheila Fajl hoops.

This dress is currently my favorite LBD (‘little black dress’), and I can see myself wearing it to quite a few Iftar soirees this coming Ramadan season.
