Hello and welcome to The Tezzy Files, a digital journal born in 2014 out of sheer my love for storytelling. My name is Tehzeeb, they call me Tez or Tezzy for short. I am a passionate writer and a full-time Marketing professional. What started as a passion project to explore beauty, fashion, and food soon evolved into something much deeper: a platform that has taken me places I never imagined — from press invites to Michelin-level dining, to runway-side fashion moments, to interviews with extraordinary people pioneering in their respective fields of expertise.

But behind the curated posts and polished images, this blog has been my anchor, a quiet, creative refuge through some of life’s darkest chapters. It kept the intrinsic creative in me alive through a toxic marriage, introduced me to people, places and products I never knew I’d come to love, taught me a thing or two about online Marketing that my Masters degree never could,  and made me this confident, independent badass of a single mom I am today (due credit to my crazy-cool Gen-Z daughter who prefers to tell her class her mom is a Blogger instead of a Marketing whizz!).

For a while, I drifted. Like many, I fell into the fast scroll of social media where pretty pictures trumped poetry and captions replaced long-format thought. I let this blog sit dormant for nearly four years. But I come back to it and see all that love pouring in, a steady yet strong following from all over the world resonating with my writing and making me believe once again that the power of writing is not dead, and that even Google loves and prioritizes writers over social media. I am a writer first, and this space still matters. A heartfelt thank-you to all my readers who have been following me all these years, and hello and welcome if you’re new and read this far!

The Tezzy Files is my comeback. I am a different woman from the girl who started this blog. I have more to share, my stories are not over. This beautiful life is far too full of wonderful stories, anecdotes and advice to share!

A Beauty & Fashion Curious Foodie Blogging from the UAE.

Hello and welcome to The Tezzy Files!

My name is Tehzeeb. Given I have a name that seems too complicated for most, I have collected a number of pseudo names over the years, the shortest being Tez. Tez gets fondly extended to Tezzy.

Tezzy is warm and fuzzy. When I’m Tezzy I feel all cuddled up and loved, and the innate writer in me resurfaces.

I am genetically Indian, spent my formative years in Kuwait and New Zealand, and am now married and spending my ‘happy ever after’ in the vibrant city of Dubai. The UAE is a true blend of East and West. We have snazzy malls boasting of the biggest global brands, and then we have the quaint old souks soaked in age-old Arabesque charm and heritage. We have eateries catering to the rich and famous, and little gems serving up dollops of home-style food at throwaway prices.

I am a self-professed shopaholic and an epic eater willing to try out most cuisines. I am a boho at heart and pride myself for my quirky finds. I follow trends, but am definitely not a sheep.

By day I am a corporate marketer heading the marketing needs of a luxury retailer here in the UAE. I also hold the designation of full-time mummy to a hyper, fun-loving little girl.

In my spare time, I am a wordsmith, a foodie, a shopaholic, and an online fashion stalker. The Tezzy Files is a documentation of my addictions.
