I am a huge fan of the contouring technique. Contouring was made for fat faces, and to disguise a love for chocolate. A very skilled job keeps that jawline defined, and those cheeks uplifted even when you forget to pucker up for that pic.
My love for contouring has my makeup drawers stuffed with contouring powders and palettes from many a coveted brand, and then I stumbled upon the art of draping…
Draping is contouring with a pop of color, and has actually been around since the Eighties pop culture phase. Think bright, happy cheeks all flushed a gorgeous pink.
Hold your horses. You don’t have to rush out there and splurge on draping tools just yet. Your favorite blushes, mixed in with an expert swipe of your favorite bronzer would work just fine.
The idea remains the same. Darker shades go where the shadows would naturally fall, and highlight with a flush of fresh pink… or peach!
I got introduced to the art of draping via the IsaDora Draping Wheel. This masstige brand from Sweden is always ahead of the game with their market savvy products that are great value for money.
I love the colors of this wheel. The colors are gorgeous, and easily buildable. These would suit most complexions.
I swipe my brush all around the wheel in one go to contour, and finish off with a hint of peach on top.
It gives me this flushed, fresh and youthfully feminine look I am currently obsessed with. So easy, and so summery too! Thank-you IsaDora.
