I was first introduced to BlowOut Bar Dubai at the Namshi.com event last month. The lovely ladies had a wee nook to themselves, and were doing a whole lot of creative hair braiding. Given my love for all things bohemian, I patiently stood in queue and got these absolutely stunning braids done.
It was almost heart-breaking having to undo them a day later, and this is when I decided to hunt down BlowOut Bar for myself.
BlowOut Bar is located in The Golden Mile (Building 10) on The Palm, Jumeirah. You would think finding it would be a breeze, but we managed to get a little lost looking for parking, The mall really needs to improve its parking signage. To get into Building 10, you need to drive down the parking entrance of Building 7 and go all the way down till you see the pillars at the end showcasing BlowOut Bar advertising.
Up one level is BlowOut Bar. I was visiting with my lovely young friend Nisha. Nisha is blessed with a thick mass of gorgeous curls whereas my thinning mane can be termed straight at best. Given we have such different sets of hair, it was going to be interesting to see what the girls at BlowOut Bar could do for us!
We were after romantic, Khaleesi-inspired braids to go with our fashion shoot (we have matching dresses! More on that in my next post).
Nisha had her’s done into a pair of braids, whereas mine was a side-braid topped with a flower crown (inspired by style icon Frieda Kahlo ofcourse!).

I bought this gorgeous flower crown from BlowOut Bar for AED 85. It fits an adult head, and is a beautifully subtle shade of pale browns. I think it compliments my hair coloring perfectly well.
BlowOut Bar has a range of pretty hair accessories up or grabs. Apart from that, they also sell a comprehensive range of high-quality hair care products and also do manicures and pedicures in a different section.
BlowOut Bar specializes in hair styling. From blowouts to braids and everything in between. However, they don’t cut or color. BlowOut Bar is the ideal space to pop in for a quick hair makeover before that special dinner date, or day out with the girls.
I love the ambiance of this place. The staff are so chilled out, and they also have a self-service ‘bar’ for patrons to help themselves to teas and coffee.
Nimra, a lovely young lady from Pakistan, did my braids. We got so friendly that she even agreed to do a selfie together once I was done!
