Rajasthan, the North-Western state of India, has a centuries-old repute for its traditional forms of art revolving around fashion. They gave the world the colorful, much-loved tie-dye (which became symbolic with the hippie movement of the roaring ‘free love’ sixties). Lesser known to the world is Rajasthan’s exquisitely prized form on Danka embroidery.

Numaish Exhibitions is back once again with a brand new lineup of exquisite new-season trends from India’s the hottest upcoming designers. The Numaish Festive Fair is going to take place in the weekend of 23rd and 24th September in Conrad Hotel, Dubai and is open to the public inclusive of free valet service.

I have been associated with the Numaish fair for 3 seasons now, and being a huge fan of boho and Indo-Western silhouettes, I always look forward to visiting the stalls. At Numaish, you are sure to find something extraordinarily different.

One of the designers who has been a regular at Numaish ever since I got associated with it is Suchita Pandey. Hailing from Jaipur, arguably the cultural capital of Indian textiles, Suchita turned her love for fashion into a very successful career with the launch of her label Suchita’s Stylista.
