I’ve been off an on the dieting bandwagon for as long as I can remember, and rarely have I succeeded at sustainable results.

The buzzword ‘Keto’ caught my fancy quite a few months ago, and I could see the radically positive change it was having on quite a few people in my circle. I was intrigued, yet all the jargon around macros had me in limbo.

A casual chat over a work lunch with my colleague Rasha got us started. We are both Keto newbies and decided to start this journey together.

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the very first beauty exhibition in Dubai that was dedicated to K Beauty. Korea has really taken the lead with innovative skincare, and I was pretty blown away with the wide range of brands and brand offerings that were on display.

It’s been a while since I did a recipe post. Today I bring to you a taste of sweetness all the way from Cyprus! The below post is courtesy The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism Hope you’ll try this… and send me some as a thank-you pressie for posting 😉

Love Indo Chinese? I recently discovered a hidden gem for really good Indian and Indo-Chinese food. Located in the heart of the residential area on Amman Street in Al Nahda 2 Dubai, Masala Wok was founded by Mr. Shareef, a diehard foodie and experimental home cook who decided to try his luck at becoming a restauranteur.

The restaurant has been running for 2 years now, and Mr. Shareef and his team and astounded by its phenomenal success. Despite being tucked away in a quiet residential area, the restaurant boasts of having the highest rating on Zomato in the Al Nahda area and has been drawing in the crowds from as far and wide as Marina, Sheikh Zayed and even Fujairah.

Last week, we spent a whimsical afternoon at newly opened Kulture House Dubai. Part café, part art house, part florist and fashion haven, this lifestyle hub is a unique homegrown concept that got us click-happy as soon as we set foot inside.

Taking inspiration from an amalgamation of world cultures including Russia, South America, Morocco, Africa and the Middle East, the interiors here are absolutely magical.

Grayton Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel for business and leisure, has opened its hospitable doors in the heart of the hustle bustle of Bur Dubai, and with it comes a culinary gem we’ve all been waiting for.

Award-wining Indian fine-dining restaurant Bukhara hailing from Delhi, the capital of India has a repute for its authentic North Indian fare inspired by the Silk Road of trade and culture that brought the Moghuls to India. I love the Bukhara branch in Ajman Hotel, and we’ve driven down for their delicious grub many a time.

Bukhara has finally opened in Dubai. Located on the first floor of Grayton Hotel, the interiors are a contemporary take on the rustic brass-infused look and feel of the branch in Ajman. With filigree walls, holistic Buddha décor and an open-plan kitchen facing the dining area, Bukhara Dubai is all at once cosy, classy and welcoming.

Eid is just around the corner. Have you got your festive gear sorted?

This Eid, I’m planning on fashion twinning with my little one.

I first discovered Fayon Kids at Numaish Exhibitions. Based in India’s capital city of Delhi which is renowned for its old-world handicrafts and exquisite fabrics, the brand was created by doting mother Preeti Jatia.

Last Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of dining at the much talked about Masala Library. Founded by culinary legend Jiggs Kalra who is fondly referred to as the Czar of Indian cuisine, my expectations were literally sky-high.

Jiggs Kalra is a living Indian culinary legend who has penned 11 books including ‘Prashad’ which is considered to be a chef’s bible for Indian cuisine. He is credited for reviving several lost cooking styles of ancient India including the introduction of age-old kebab recipes that were prized within the royal kitchens of yesteryears.

Masala Library is an award-winning restaurant in Delhi, the capital of India. It has been an inspiration behind many a successful restaurant and has finally opened doors in JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.

Hello Beautiful! How’s the holy month of fasting going for you? Hope you’re staying hydrated and at your radiant best. Hunger is not really a concern for me when fasting (I stock up well in Iftars!), and I’m getting over the thirst issues despite the summer heat by really glugging in my 2 liters post sundown. My greatest challenge is the sleep deprivation.

I get up for suhoor (the early morning meal) at 4 am, diligently do my prayers and keep hitting the snooze button when my alarm cries out its 5.30 am again. Yes, I have a very early morning start given the school run and the traffic to work.

The lack of sleep was creeping up on my face in the form of unsightly dark circles and puffy bags under my eyes, so I thought this would be the perfect time to give the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream a try.
