Beauty Review: The Max Factor Pan Stik Foundation

When it comes to foundations, I always believed a higher price tag would guarantee a better finish. I rarely use foundations, and reserve them for special occasions or a bad case of breakouts. I therefore have very few foundations in my makeup stash, most of which range on the higher end of the pricing spectrum.

And then I got sent a bag of goodies from drugstore brand Max Factor. With this came the adorably compact Max Factor Pan Stik:

What is the Max Factor Pan Stik?

This is a high-coverage foundation stick, created for normal to dry skin. The texture is super creamy, and the color is highly pigmented.

The Packaging

It comes in a 9 gram serving, with a twistable bottom that gives you access to the product. The black plastic packaging is nothing fancy, yet rather functional. What I love is the size… so compact, so small! It easily fits into the smallest of clutches.

How to Use the Max Factor Pan Stik:

Twist up the product, and apply a few dots across the face (the more you put on, the more the coverage). Blend in with a foundation brush (I personally prefer my Beauty Blender).

As this foundation is rather creamy, it needs to be completed with a setting powder.

Tezzy’s Experience with the Max Factor Pan Stik:

I love the texture of this product. The super creamy formulation glides onto the skin, and as it is highly pigmented, a little goes a long way. I really love the blendability of the product. It is so easy to use, and takes far less time to apply than regular liquid foundations.

The foundation stays put throughout the day, even in this manic heat and humidity, and doesn’t have the cakey drying effect many other foundations have given me in the past.

I am quite amazed by the quality of this product, especially considering its pricing! This wee beauty retails for as low as AED 26! Real value for money there, and even if I were to use it on a daily basis, I am sure this Pan Stik will last me a good 3 months or so.

I am using the Max Factor Pan Stik in the shade Cool Copper 14.

What I LOVE About the Max Factor Pan Stik:

  • The compact size! Fits any makeup kit.
  • The creamy texture feels great on my normal to dry skin.
  • The formulation is highly pigmented.
  • It is super easy to blend.
  • The pricing! For this quality, it is so ridiculously cheap.

The Negatives:

  • You really do need a setting powder to keep this foundation in place.
  • Given the creamy texture, this product may not be suitable for oily skin-types.

Where to Buy the Max Factor Pan Stik:

The Max Factor makeup range is available in a wide number of drugstores (including Boots Pharmacy) and other leading supermarkets across the UAE.
