Call me crazy, but I love wearing jackets even in the peak of a UAE summer. To me, a well-structured jacket is a lazy girl’s essential. It can pull together an otherwise ‘blah’ outfit, and even make a simple denim and tee combo acceptable for a night about town!

I recently bought this beauty at Zara. I am yet to meet a girl who doesn’t like Zara. This high-street brand seems to have every girl covered, regardless of her size and styling preference, and they strive to stay innovative with their collections.

 

I am a huge fan of ethnic embroidery, and knew I had to take this jacket home when I saw the back… just look at all that intricate detailing, and mirror work!

 

And how gorgeous is the ruffled edges and the pompoms?! Victorian meets boho, meets military?! I think I’ll stick to boho with this one!

 

I am wearing the jacket over a black tank top and jeans, but think it will work just as well over any other mono-toned outfit. The earthy khaki base of the jacket makes for a very versatile color shade despite the colorful back.
