How to Cover Up in Style by the Poolside & the Beach

When I first got introduced to Blue Ink Beachwear, I was rather psyched by the eye-catching prints and colour combinations on the swimsuits. These pieces are so gorgeous, that I’m willing to wear one of these swimsuits to work! (Check out my last post on how to wear swimwear to work by clicking here).

But how do you dress up a swimsuit when lounging around a pool or at the beach? During my recent trip to Tilal Liwa Hotel, I saw quite a few ladies coming down to the pool wearing the complimentary housecoat over their swimwear, not a great look! C’mon ladies, let’s jazz it up! With the help of Anisha Lalani (founder of the Blue Ink Beachwear brand) and the lovely Rosa Bullock from the Sociate PR agency, we came up with three trendy ways to cover up in style.

Rosa: Short Denim Shorts

First off is Rosa, rocking the short shorts over her Ibiza Oro swimsuit by Blue Ink Beachwear.

Cut and gently frayed denim is a fashion classic that is here to stay, so why not take it to the pool or beachside? Denims are always heavy duty, and you really don’t mind them getting a little wet or sandy while you splash.

Rosa shows off her long, lean legs with her short shorts, but you can always opt for a slightly longer length if this length scares you. For added modesty, Rosa wears the beautifully flowy Eva kaftan by Blue Ink Beachwear.

Tezzy: The Grecian Skirt

My look is more on the modest side. I teamed the exact same  Ibiza Oro swimsuit by Blue Ink Beachwear with a grey jersey skirt. I borrowed this skirt from Anisha, and absolutely love it for it’s simple yet striking Grecian folds.

Teamed with the Eva kaftan by Blue Ink Beachwear, my overall look is oh so very Boho! I absolutely love the Eva Kaftan. The print is uniquely ethnic, an has slits down the sides for added oomph. I can imagine getting a great deal of wear out of this piece. I would team it up with a simple denim and tee combo, or wear it over an embellished dress  for a night out.

Anisha: The Must-Have Cargo Shorts

In my opinion, cargo shorts are an absolute essential for summer. Super comfy and versatile enough to take you from day to night, we had to have a ‘cargo shorts’ look on this list.

Anisha pairs her Ibiza Blanca swimsuit by Blue Ink Beachwear with a classic pair of khaki coloured cargo shorts.

Anisha completes the look with the Eva kaftan, adding a freeflowing feminine touch to the otherwise rather boyish pair of shorts. Comfy and classy with an ethnic twist, what’s not to love about this look?

Which of these three looks best suits your styling personality? With a beautifully printed swimsuit by Blue Ink Beachwear, the possibilities are endless!
