Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer Review

‘My name is Tezzy, and I am a Too Faced addict.’ There, I’ve said it. Perhaps its the cute, kitsch packaging, or perhaps its the chocaholic in me that digs the beautifully subtle scent of cocoa across all the brand’s products, but I am truly, madly, deeply in love with the Too Faced bandwagon.

Talking of true love, the limited edition Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer and I were therefore meant to be. Come on you cynics, the little heart-shaped compact is way too adorable to resist!

The Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer is a bronzer and blush duo, and comes in two shades: Carrie & Big, and Ross & Rachel.

How clever are the names! Taking two of sitcom’s most popular power couples, which camp would you choose? Ross & Rachel ofcourse!

I am being biased here. I am a die-hard Carrie fan (and an even bigger fan of her shoe collection!), and I never, ever got over how Mr. Big stood her up at the alter. Carrie and Aiden would have made a better (bronzer-blush) duo. That scene of Carrie left hanging in her white gown is way too gut-wrenching for my liking. A big ‘boo’ for Mr. Big.

Apart from the sitcom name, the Carrie & Big Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer is lovely for those wanting a more peachy, orange hue. On my complexion, I prefer a pop of color, and that is what the Ross & Rachel bright pink blush does for me.

It’s not as drastically pink as it looks. The color can be built up or down, and I love the convenience of having the bronzer to contour, and the blush to highlight in one cutesy compact.

My Experience with the Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer (Ross & Rachel):

Here I am wearing the Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer in Ross & Rachel.

I’ve been carrying this compact everywhere I go. I love how adorably cute it looks. It reminds me of my Polly Pocket compacts as an adolescent.

The only hitch is I need to carry a makeup brush with it as the product is sans brush/sponge.

The product has a beautifully subtle scent of cocoa which I love, and the colors of the Ross & Rachel palette work very well on my skin.

The colors are highly pigmented, and allow for building up for a more dramatic look for night. The bronzer is great for contouring, and the blush on the apples of the cheek adds an instant glow to my face, especially when I’m halfway through a hectic day.

The Good:

  • Adorable packaging!
  • Compact enough for the bag.
  • Highly pigmented colors that work well together, and can be built up for more intensity.

The Not So Good:

  • Why is this limited edition?! I dread not getting a restock when I hit pan!
  • It doesn’t come with a brush, so you’d have to carry one on the side.

Where to Buy:

Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzers are available at all Sephora stores across the Middle East, and retail for AED 135 each. Which camp are you on; Carrie & Big or Ross & Rachel?
