Seafood Night at Na3Na3

Na3Na3 (pronounced ‘Nana’), is a well-established all-day dining restaurant located on the lobby level of The Address – Dubai Mall. Essentially a Lebanese restaurant, the theme here keeps changing on a daily basis.

We were at Na3Na3 the Thursday before last, just when Dubai was experiencing its freakish rains. I was indulging in a bout of retail therapy in The Dubai Mall, and discovered a shortcut to Na3Na3 through Bloomingdales! You can park in the mall, or use the hotel’s valet service.

The restaurant itself is chic, spacious and tastefully done. The lights were dimmed for the evening, making it the perfectly cozy recluse from the rains. A beautiful young lady with an impressively deep, vocal voice was cooing out popular love songs as we got seated. Her rendition of ‘The Power of Love’ gave me goosebumps.

The staff at Na3Na3 are very courteous and well versed with the buffet selection. Thursday night is seafood night, and the counters were heaving with a selection of fresh crab, prawns, lobster and other such delicacies.

At Na3Na3, they offer a range of global flavors. From Japanese sushi to Indian-style Tandoori Salmon, Arabic Mezze and Thai Seafood Curry, they’ve got us covered with the most popular types of world cuisines.

My favorite from the night was the Thai Seafood Curry; a deliciously creamy coconut cream based curry brimming with seafood delights. It tasted like an exotic version of a regular seafood chowder.

The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks and juices. I loved their fresh carrot juice, and must have had atleast 3 glass-fulls! Hubby warned I’d turn into Bug Bunny next… Wassup Doc? 🙂

By the time we were done with the mains, there was little space for dessert. However, the foodie in me had me exploring the dessert counters regardless. Na3Na3 has a very pretty selection of sweet treats ranging from cheesecakes, trifles and traditional Arabic treats. My favorite was the mini chocolate eclairs, filled with a decadently chocolaty cream. If you are watching the waistline, Na3Na3 also has a separate counter offering freshly cut season fruit.

Overall, Na3Na3 proved to be a wonderfully relaxed, laidback experience. The seafood night right after a long week of work was a much-needed treat. From the casual yet chic ambiance combined with the live entertainment, the immaculate service and the wide variety of buffet options, Na3Na3 really spoils its diners and entices them to come back as regulars. And how convenient it is to have them adjacent to The Dubai Mall itself!

The Na3Na3 Seafood Night runs every Thursday from 7 pm to 11 pm, and costs AED 260 per person, inclusive of soft drinks. For reservations give them a call on 0444388888 or drop them an email on dine.tadmh@theaddress.com.
